Our senior ladies were beaten in the league final decider against Carbury in Naas GAA on Tuesday evening. They went in three points up at half time but couldn't pull away. Carbury regrouped in the second half and came back and the girls could not respond. Championship starts in three weeks, so its time to refocus and get back to winning ways

Our minor boys got the championship of to the best possible start with a comfortable 2-11 to 0-06 win over Naas on Monday night. While we were down a few players due to hols and injury their replacements played very well thus insuring competition for places for the next round, this will be played next Monday night, venue and opposition to be confirmed later

The u16s went down to Carbury in the second round of the championship on Friday evenng to a strong Carbury side.

Our u8 and u6 teams wellcomed Castlemitchel to Stephen O Rourke Memorial park on Saturday morning for 2 Challenge games. Despite being short of o lot of our regulars because of a very busy week with the Venice of Ireland festival both teams aqquitted themselves and can be very proud of their efforts.

Congratulations to our senior ladies who qualified for the division 3 final. They defeated Kilcock on a soaking wet evening in Stephen O Rourke Memorial Park on a scoreline of Ballykelly 4.11 Kilcock 2.5. No opponents or venue are yet confirmed. Well done girls

All underage training on friday will begin at 5.30pm and finish at 6.30pm. This is to allow all players to get home early and get a seat in front of the TV for the NATIONWIDE program that features the offical opening of the new grounds at 7. Hopefully you'll all be featured in it.
